Alpha Metallurgical Resources has confirmed the departure of Roger Nicholson, the company’s executive vice president, chief administrative officer, general counsel and secretary, and approved the appointment of his replacement, Mark Manno.
Nicholson’s resignation was approved by the company’s board on May 8 and is effective May 31.
Manno, who will serve as executive vice president, general counsel and secretary, will step into the role June 1. He will oversee the company’s legal, land and safety departments and will also be general counsel and secretary to the board of directors.
Alpha’s president and chief operating officer, Jason Whitehead, will assume oversight of the environmental department as well as all human resources functions of the company.
